Attorney Tim Zerillo's Week in Review

What an amazing last seven days! They started out with a weekend in which we gave away approximately 150 bicycle helmets to kids in honor of a wrongful death case I handled. It is a great privilege to be involved in keeping kids safe. For more information on future helmet giveaways, please visit www.Helmets4Kids.com.

It was also a busy week in the courtroom. First, in York County, we were able to get a warrant for our client recalled and our motion to amend bail granted.

We followed that up with the dismissal of a motion to revoke our client's probation in Sagadahoc County. Our client faced a potential 10 year sentence.

This was followed by a dismissal and filing of three juvenile sexual assault felonies in favor of a misdemeanor assault with no jail time.

Today, I will be in Rockland arguing motions for discovery in which we are trying to find information on the police software that tracks peer to peer computer networks for search warrants in child pornography cases. This is a unique area of the law, in which we are trying to safeguard Internet privacy interests and represent our client at the same time. Our client is a huge proponent of Internet privacy concerns, and it is a pleasure to have the ability to press these issues in the courts. Hopefully our streak of good fortune will continue.

Everyone have a great and safe Memorial Day weekend. Tim Zerillo
