Major Victory In Vladek Filler's Continuing Quest for Justice

Hallett, Zerillo & Whipple lawyers Tom Hallett, Tim Zerillo and Dave Weyrens brought suit on behalf of Vladek Filler, a man who was wrongfully convicted of rape.  His wrongful convictions resulted in the bar discipline of Mary Kellett, the first Maine Prosecutor ever disciplined by the Maine Board of Bar Overseers.

Mr. Filler, through his lawyers, brought a 103 page complaint against the prosecutors and police who hid and altered his criminal discovery.  Mary Kellett, through her lawyers, moved to dismiss the case against her.

In a 78 page decision this week, United States District Court Judge John Woodcock largely denied the Kellett motion to dismiss and ordered that the case could go forward.

Congratulations to our Client.  This is a major victory in his long odyssey to seek justice.  You can access the decision by clicking here.
